Ok, so two years later… =D
I wondered the same thing about Tim. He seems very likeable, and maybe he doesn’t consider any of his jokes blasphemous, but I think that reverence towards the Presence of God and expression of worship is in order, too. God will not be mocked–whatever someone sows, they will reap. I laugh hysterically at some of his videos. but I’ve been questioning others. Thank you, Rhonda and John, and Dr. Winn, for being open to these real questions. I’ve got to personally question a line being drawn between being non-religious but also respecting the Presence of God and the Holy Spirit. Holiness is not stuffy–it’s beautiful!

You are welcome. I trust with your creativity that you will create a way to “cultivate” such a faith community. Our problems usually arise when we are trying to create a “reproducible” program that others can also use. Maybe we should look at creating a one-of-a-kind for our own local faith community, not unlike creating a unique kid. Yep, there are some similarities, hands, feet, head, eyes, nose, etc. But, every kid is unique. What if we though in those circles when creating a church in our own neighborhood. Just wondering…

I thought the issue of names of churches is just an African or Nigerian phenomenon. Names of churches in Nigeria ranges from the funny to the very bizarre. How would you categorise a church with a name like “Fire of Elijah Ministries”, ” Holy Ghost supermarket”, “The Redeemed Christian Church of God” – this suggests that there are some christians who are not redeemed. This is quite common with the so-called Pentecostal Churches & their definition of being pentecostal is that they “speak in tongues”.

I want money not to a issue. You asked what I will do next Sunday? I will be watching the Lakers sometime that day. I will be helping church kids be kind also. I don’t want to be in this anymore I want in to what god is doing. I want in ? How do we lose all of the hype? Why in a building? I want change? Yes, I do I want it soon. Church is fun but is it really helping? No, it is not we need to be active and pass out stuff in our community with out pushing religion. Epic.
