The Exclusion Of Moses: Exodus

Questions
Why did Moses not get to go to the Promised Land?

Answer
Moses did not enter the Promised Land because he had sinned against God at Meribah (Numbers 20.7-13; Deut 3.23-29). Moses did not follow the Lord’s command exactly. He did not speak to the rock but struck it twice, and his words suggest that he was bringing water out of the rock (10). Because he did not honor the Lord, he was not able to lead Israel into the land.

Videos to Download

Here is a link to a site that you can download two videos. You need to leave them your name and email address to get an email with the download links. They feature some of the suffering going on the Gulf Coast, USA. They are quiet hefty in size. One is 75 MB the other about 50 MB, both in ZIP format. The smaller of the two is Psalm 137 set to music with current NO scenery as the back drop. The images are powerful.

The Plagues In Exodus

Questions
Which plagues in the book of Exodus did not affect the Hebrews?

Answer
There were ten plagues mentioned in Exodus. The following material is from Easton’s Bible Dictionary. It is an older Bible dictionary but the information is still valid. None of the ten plagues were harmful to the Hebrews.

Plague can mean a “stroke” of affliction, or disease. Sent as a divine chastisement (Num. 11.33; 14.37; 16.46-49; 2 Sam. 24.21). Painful afflictions or diseases, (Lev. 13.3, 5, 30; 1 Kings 8.37), or severe calamity (Mark 5.29; Luke 7.21), or the judgment of God, so called (Ex. 9.14). Plagues of Egypt were ten in number.
